So, as the internet is finally working (following lots of power cuts, server problems, heavy rain stopping the connection... the usual!) I thought I'd update you on our latest plans. We found out before Christmas that we weren't able to extend our Indian visa beyond 6 months, so we have to leave India by next week. It was a bit of a shock as we'd been told in the UK that we would be able to extend and had planned to stay for a year. Thankfully, we were able to organise a further 6 month placement with VIDES in the Philippines! So, we leave here on Tuesday morning then have one train and 3 flights before arriving at Palawan on Friday. Sadly, they don't have internet at the school and have to travel 50km into the city to get online, so we're unlikely to be able to update the blog there.
